I am an assistant professor and director of the Korea and East Asia program in the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) at Sogang University. Previously, I was an assistant professor in the department of political science at the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Center at Stanford University. I received my PhD in political science at the University of California, Irvine.
My research focuses on public opinion, gender, and democracy in East Asia. I also research on social issues in South Korea and growing anti-Asian violence in the US. My research has been published in Journal of Politics, PS: Political Science & Politics, and Pacific Affairs.
